What is Notasium?
A Notasium is where music meets play. From the immersive musical play space, to our private lessons and group classes, musical learning is based on playful exploration at Notasium.
Play Space
Notasium is the only music school that offers an immersive, musical play experience for children ages 2 and up. Our play space gives children a safe place to meet and play with other kids in the neighborhood, while simultaneously introducing them to the joy and wonder of music in a fun way. Our custom built, musical (yes, musical!) play structures are unique to Notasium and provide children a fun, social experience of both kinesthetic and musical learning. You will not find this atmosphere anywhere else. It’s truly a space where music meets play!
Birthday Parties
What’s better than the exhilaration of a birthday party? Celebrating in our magical, musical play space! Kids can exercise their bodies and minds before enjoying their treats in our brightly colored private party rooms. Grownups, as always, are welcome to join in on the fun in the play space; the karaoke booths are popular amongst all age groups!
Group Classes
Our play space is just the beginning to our customers’ long-term relationship with a Notasium. Once their child has played in our play space for a while, they’re then ready to try one of our group classes, conducted online or in-person. We design our own lesson plans and curriculum into 8-12 week courses for children ages 2-7. Here children can learn the basics of music on piano, guitar, ukulele, or vocals in a low-pressure and fun environment with their peers.
Private Music Lessons
Private lessons are the next step in growing as a musician at Notasium. After being introduced to the power of music in our immersive, musical play space, our super-fun birthday parties, and specially-crafted group lessons and curriculum, every Notasium kid is more than prepared for individual instruction. Our gifted and professional instructors combined with our in-house lesson plans, guidelines, educational resources, regular recitals and support staff create a comprehensive school system that has proven to retain and develop students into young musicians over the course of many years.
Our Philosophy of Music Education
During some point in your life, you may have heard the expression, “music is a language.” Just like any other language, humans can use music to communicate. We use music to express thoughts, ideas, and emotions. For centuries, cultures from all around the world have used music for celebrations, ceremonies, and entertainment. Music is a very special language because it can be understood and enjoyed by anyone, at any age, from anywhere.
At Notasium, our philosophy is to teach music in the same manner in which we teach children how to speak their first language. Our approach ensures that children learn music in the most natural way possible. This makes learning music at Notasium easier and much more fun than traditional music teaching practices.

Our dedicated music education engineers have taken the time to understand and develop both fun and effective materials to get children playing music at an early age. These elements include our interactive play structures, as well as robust curriculum plans, lesson books and patented teaching methodology.
Custom Built Play Structures
Our play space allows children to make their own music through the language they understand the most: play time! We design, build, wire and install musical play structures for every Notasium. (You’re going to have to try the guitar side!)
Thoughtful, Well-Designed Branding
Our Note-Friends help students learn the notes they are playing in a way they can easily understand. You can find the Note-Friends throughout Notasium, from our play space, to our curriculum and on our instruments!

Whether learning in a Notasium with a Notasioneer or at home on their own, students can embark on their musical journey with our Note-Making books, designed for Notemakers of all ages to easily read and follow.
Clear, Consistent Teaching Tools
Notasioneers will be equipped with Notasium’s handbook for excellence, empowering them to lead engaging and enriching classes and lessons for students of all ages.
Standardized Framework to track student progress
Notasioneers will provide each student enrolled in a group class or private lesson with a standardized but individual weekly practice sheet, tailored to detail the progression of the student’s skill building.
